If there is one thing that Calgary can boast about, it’s the number of indoor pools, including a few indoor wave pools, something that only impress kids but also tire them out. The Southland Leisure Centre is one of the best wave pools in the city, accompanied by a rope swing, a waterslide that starts outdoors and a huge climbing and splashing area separate from the pool. The Village Square Leisure Centre also offers an awesome wave pool along with huge waterslides. The Safari Splash Zone is one of the best indoor water playgrounds in the city complete with spray guns, climbers, tipping buckets and bridges that sway. If you are looking for something a little saltier, head to the Acadia Aquatic & Fitness Centre where there is a salt water pool along with a rope swing and two waterslides or head to the Bob Bahan Aquatic & Fitness Centre where along with a salt water pool there is also a salt water hot tub and a dive pool with diving board and slide for the older kids. The Inglewood Aquatic Centre should also be mentioned for the abundance of activities it offers, including a salt water swimming pool, aquatic climbing wall, rope swing, waterslide and a plethora of pool toys available for use for free.
