Watch A Live Monsters Rock and Roll Show

Who knew that scary monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein, Phantom of the Opera and Beetlejuice could have a sense of humour? Well, the Universal Studios is that quixotic paradise where they do and eagerly perform perfectly choreographed songs and dances so as to entertain you. Perhaps this is their way of apologising for the many years of trauma? What starts off in a graveyard with coffins et al, the show gradually transforms into a fun act replete with fireworks wherein each scary character sings a song of his/her own. One also can’t help but notice how their costumes and make-up are very evidently on point. With an exciting medley of rock numbers, these monsters will get your body moving to the beats. The music includes 70s, 80s and 90s classics like ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’, ‘I Will Survive’ and ‘Bye Bye Bye’ among several others.

This 30 minute performance can be witnessed in the ‘Hollywood’ section of the Universal Studios theme park. Given the smoke, fog, sudden loud sounds and occasional pitch black moments, guests with sensitivity are advised to stay away from the act. The show, otherwise, is far from being scary and is more comedic in nature, to an extent that kids will love it. This live entertainment is the perfect respite from roller coasters that tend to drain you of all your energy.
