Visit Dusseldorf's Cali Dreams Museum to up your Instagram game

If you are into selfies or are craving for self-shots for your social media channels, it is time to pack your bags for Dusseldorf, Germany. The city saw Germany’s first Instagram museum, which has 25 photo-perfect backdrops for you to choose from. It has been named as the Cali Dreams Museum, it is founded by Mike Naseband and Kevin Kock.

The duo states that they conceptualised the museum idea after a road trip to California, when they saw a number of people posing for photos at the landmarks en route. Once home, the two of them put their ideas together and started working on the museum concept on a land area that spans 1500 sq m. Slowly, they finalised 25 different set designs for visitors, all quirkier than the other and, of course, perfect to shoot selfies and more.

The museum also has a number of changing rooms for visitors so that they can do a wardrobe change and click away to glory. There is a fee of 29 Euros for two hours for each visitor to the museum, which also includes selfie sticks and powerbanks! The museum stays open from 10 AM to 10 PM, and sees quite an impressive number of shutterbugs every day ever since its opening on October 25, 2019.

The founders state that the museum settings will change with a change in seasons and will be more in sync to make the photos taken here interesting. It will also be adaptable with the changing fetishes of the Instagram generation.

The Cali Dreams Museum also offers visitors a number of props to pose with, making it a huge favourite with travellers in Dusseldorf. Mike Naseband, a co-founder for the museum, states that “We want to bring people out of everyday life into a dream world.".
