Hundreds of visitor’s flock to this neighborhood during the month of December to view the incredible holiday displays, and visitors who are here in December should absolutely do the same. Located at 148th street between 100th avenue and 92nd avenue, this west end neighborhood celebrates the holidays like no other in the city. For over 40 years, people in the community here have come together to decorate their houses with lights, moving figures, and unique decorations. We highly recommend walking through the area instead of driving, as the street gets rather congested and you might miss something. Or instead of walking, you can book a sleigh ride in advance that takes you through the street for 45 minutes at the cost of $15 per person (lap held infants are free). Visitors are encouraged to bring a donation for the Edmonton Food Bank, and asked not to touch the unique and well cared for decorations. Lights, sleigh rides and plenty of hot chocolate will make this experience truly unforgettable.
