No trip to Bali is complete without a visit to Ubud. The cultural and spiritual centre of the island is best explored by cycling through the countryside and villages. Start at Monkey Forest where you get to see the crab-eating macaques. Next head to Goa Gajah, one of Bali's most unique sacred sites, and then on to the village of Petulu which is famous for nesting sites of migratory Herons.
