Catch the first rays of the sun up at Tiger Hill, and if you’re lucky and the day is clear, you might even see Everest in the distance. Located just above Ghum at the highest point in Darjeeling, Tiger Hill is best known for its dazzling views of the sunrise. It will take you about 40 minutes by car, so be up bright and early and your trip to Darjeeling is justified. The panoramic views of Lhotse, Makalu, Khangchendzonga, Kabru and Janu peaks can make incredible photographs, and even better memories. This is probably Darjeeling’s most touted tourist attraction, and with good reason.

Hello from namastedarjeeling.com. It was one of the best moment of my life to witness the sunrise from Darjeeling Tiger Hill. Even though we have to reach to this place- little bit early in the morning in order to get the best spot, but eventually this plan to reach there early morning really paid off very nicely. However, with the recent update of local authorities to limit the vehicles' numbers to 600 per day was greatly criticized by many . Unlike before now visitors to Tiger hill now has to pay Rs 50 per person. But I believe that in spite of this fact, still visiting Tiger Hill for sunrise is one of the best thing to do if you are in Darjeeling. Namaste to all the friends from namastedarjeeling.com. Happy Travelling.Read More
