Located just past the Corniche, the Shrine of Sidi Abderrahmane is of great significance to Muslims around the world. The coastal shrine is said to treat a plethora of mental illnesses. The shrine is only accessible to Muslims but non-Muslims can explore the surrounding complex and catch a few glimpses of the hallowed white walls of the shrine. However, this is possible only at low tide. Doing this offers the perfect opportunity to acquaint oneself with the beliefs of the local community and provides a peek into their way of life.
