Every kid wants to be an astronaut at one point or another—and the best way to make their dreams a reality, is a visit to the planetarium. The grounds that were once the official residence of Jawaharlal Nehru, were converted into the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library back in 1964. Later, a wing was added to the property, which today houses the Nehru Planetarium. Constructed with the aim of promoting astrology, a visit here can be the perfect day trip for both your kids, and you. Constantly innovating to engage visitors, the planetarium has a host of activities on offer—from taped shows offering visuals on the solar system and the life story of a star, to live lectures, interactive Q&A sessions, and fun activities to engage the kids. This is definitely a must-do.
