The Calgary Stampede is one of the most celebrated festivals in Calgary, and for good reasons. This outdoor show combines agriculture with excitement and throws in some weird and wacky food, as well as enough entertainment to keep you going all 10 days long. Visitors to the stampede should not miss out on attending both the Rodeo and Grandstand show where professionals pull out all stops to be on the very best of performances. The live music stages throughout the grounds, as well as just outside the grounds play host to some of the hottest country stars as well as other up and coming musicians. Families can start off each day of the stampede with one of the famous pancake breakfasts, located around the city and in each major neighbourhood before they hit up the midway for games and rides. Learn about the history of the Native Indians, try your hand at axe-throwing and pick up a brand new cowboy hat here, at one of the greatest outdoor shows on earth.
