Highlands District

It is one of the most historic districts in the city, and perhaps that is why it has become one of the last places people think to shop at. But that is far from the truth, as this area is actually full of shops and retailers. Pop into Be-a-Bella, a small shop run by Kathy who has been drawing and painting since she was a little girl. Now her store not only features some of her own work, but designers from Canada and the rest of the world, along with a great selection of candy. For a superb cup of coffee, head to Mandolin Books and Coffee Company, where you can sip your brew as you browse through the huge selection of quality used books, and grab a homemade treat while you are at it. Other notable shops here include Apple Box Boutique and Chickies Antiques, full of hidden treasures, and also Sabrina Butterfly Designs.
