Kusum Sarovar is a 450 feet long and 60 feet deep reservoir, located close to Radha Ghat in Mathura. There are several stories regarding sarovar’s mythological significance and among these the most believed is the one that says Krishna and Radha used to secretly meet here. Now a prominent tourist attraction of the twin city, the reservoir is used by visitors to swim. What makes this place a must visit is the peace and tranquillity surrounding the area. You can also see a number of kadamb trees around the sarovar, which was also Krishna’s favourite tree. Another major draw of Kusum Sarovar is the evening aarti ceremony, which is a delightful moment for ardent shutterbugs.
