First up, you should visit this national gallery of modern art because of its uniqueness; it is split between two buildings on either side of Belford Road. Named Modern One and Modern Two, these two buildings house the nation’s collection of modern and contemporary art; there is a fantastic sculpture park on-site as well. What you will find in Modern One is paintings by Matisee and Picasso, French and Russian art from the 20th century and The Mysterious Garden; a watercolour by Margaret MacDonald Mackintosh, wife of Charles Mackintosh who is well-known for his architectural work around the city. Modern Two, on the other hand, houses a large collection of Dada and surrealist art along with a recreation of Eduard Paolozzi’s studio as well as world-class exhibitions that are constantly rotating. Admission is free for the permanent exhibitions and make sure you dedicate an entire day to this gallery.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
