Ramakrishna Beach also contains Asia’s only submarine museum. It is housed inside INS Kurusuram, a real submarine. This Russian-built submarine was decommissioned and converted to a museum in 2001, after having served in the Indian Navy for 31 years. The submarine still has its weaponry and fittings intact, and is placed at the Gajapathi Raju Marg on the beachfront.
