Eumundi is a tiny town on the Sunshine Coast hinterland with wide streets lined with fig trees and a serene outlook, except on Saturdays and Wednesdays, when the whole area in front of the railway station transforms into a buzzing outdoor market with over 600 stalls. Considered to be one of Australia’s leading tourist attractions, the stalls sell an exciting range of local handicrafts and other products that are sure to entice. Among the things you might see here are lovely artworks, sculptures, furniture, handmade toys, homeware and furnishings, linens, cosmetics and skincare, cutting edge fashion and jewellery by local designers. For the foodie, there’s food from all corners of the world, as well as fresh vegetables, freshly baked breads, local cheeses and aromatic coffees.
