This is the place where Netherlands' finest artist Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn worked. Visitors get a sneak peek into the work and times of Rembrandt's life with a 17th century inventory as a guide and all the paraphernalia like furniture, art and objects from the time revamped. Exhibitions by a number of contemporary artists are also hosted here. The museum is also ground to a number of demonstrations including the pretty popular etching and paint processes. These demonstrations are conducted after tremendous research on how Rembrandt had done it in his time. Guided tours are also available, but need to be confirmed at least two weeks before the intended date of visit. These tours are offered in innumerable languages, with the entry fee for adults set at €13 and €4 for those between the age of 6 years and 17 years. For those in possession of an iAmsterdam Card, entry is free. The museum is open from 10 AM to 6 PM.
