Located on the vibrant Frenchmen Street, Snug Harbor is a bit like its name – warm, comfy, and snug, even in New Orleans’s often sweltering heat. Even though the establishment has some illustrious neighbours, the set seems to revel in the collective music that is offered in the stretch. Like others on the streets, Snug has live music all nights of the week, and has such names as Uptown Jazz Orchestra, Charmaine Neville Band, Dr Lonnie Smith Trio, and Delfeayo Marsalis Sextet. The menu runs to largely Creole cuisine with some lovely drinks thrown in, but visitors come mostly for the fabulous music line up.
