Experience the colourful Harajuku – It is unquestionably the most stylish area of Tokyo. Known around the world for its extravagant and colorful clothing designs, Harajuku is the world’s fashion mecca. Fashion designers from around the world come here for inspiration and many popular Japanese brands have gotten their start here.Exiting Harajuku metro station, the first street you encounter is Takeshiti-dori, Harajuku’s premiere shopping scene. Both sides of the street are packed full of boutique clothing shops selling unique apparel and accessories. Don’t be surprised by the “No Fucking Photos” signs—the place is not very photographer-friendly. However, even if you are not in the mood for new clothing, the district is an experience nonetheless.
Nearby: Omotesando, another famous —and more upscale—shopping area, as well as Shibuya district, the vibrant heart of Shibuya ward.
