The most fun—and least strenuous—way to explore Delhi’s government monuments, is by hopping onto a self-balancing segway and gliding through a 45-minute-long guided tour. The seat of power for numerous rulers—from the British Raj, to Mughal and Muslim kings—a tour of the numerous buildings comprising the administrative block is loaded with information, interesting anecdotes and a glance of the most beautiful classical and imperial architecture. The tour begins at the south block of the Secretariat and meanders through Rashtrapati Bhawan (the residence of the Indian president, which was originally built as the British viceroy's palace), the Parliament Building (home to the Indian legislature) and India Gate before finally culminating back at the starting point.
