Kerala, blessed with out-of-this-world landscapes and locations to die for, is one of the favourites for the romantics. And this latest tour package by the IRCTC will take you to the backwaters; it will cover Cochin, Munnar and Alleppey. This tour package will be of six days and five nights, and is quite affordable.
Here is all that you need to know about this exclusive package.
Day 01: Departure from Secunderabad Railway Station at 11:40 AM by Sabari Express, Train No 17230
Day 02: Arrive at Ernakulam Railway Station at 1:15 PM, from where you will head toward your hotel. After you freshen up, you will be taken to Fort Kochi (Dutch Palace and Jewish Synagogue, which closes by 5 PM). Spend the evening at Marine Drive (you will have to bear the cost of boating activity). Spend the night in Kochi.
Day 04: Eravikulam National Park will be your next destination. Check out and depart to Kumarakom. There, you will go to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and enjoy boating at your own cost. Then, check into a hotel and stay overnight in Alleppey.
Day 05: Check out from the hotel and depart to Ernakulam. You will be dropped at the Ernakulam Railway Station to board Sabari Express at 11:50 AM, Train No. 17229.
Day 06: You will arrive at Secunderabad Railway Station, the tour ending there.
