Fiesta

Fiesta is probably the most known summer event taking place in Rome and has been organized for over twenty years since 1995. It’s a festival of social latin dances, really popular with salsa addicted, dance schools and recurring visitors, but random guests are never missing.

Latin dances are usually gathering several generations togheter, from the youngest to the more mature, all sharing together their passion for some latin steps. In fact in Rome in the last decade tit has been really trendy taking classes of latin dances.
If you want to challenge your coordination a try to some salsa, bachata or reggaeton, then you shouldn’t miss this occasion.

Fiesta is open every night, usually from beginning of June to end of September and there is an entrance fee to pay in order to access the whole festival area.
Its historical location has been for long time at the race horses track in Capannelle, a huge space with hundreds of different kiosks and stages, but some years ago the situation changed and last edition was hosted in “Parco Rosati” in EUR district, able to welcome up to 3000 people in its big concert hall with two adjacent dancing stages.

There is a dense program of concerts and classes, but it’s not a good bet if you like to go to bed early, since the first note won’t start before eleven at night!
