For serious cheese lovers, Red Hill Cheese based in Mornington Peninsula and South Gippsland Victoria is the ideal location. Run by Trevor and Jan Brandon, this small cheesery and cellar door on the farm produces distinctive, regional cheeses, handcrafted perfectly to accompany local wine produce. The award-winning cheese is made using fresh cow, goat and sheep milk and are free from genetically modified organisms, artificial stabilisers and preservatives. The cheesery runs cheese tasting experiences, catering for up to 10 people with no booking necessary. Guests can delight in the flavours with a tasting plate or cheese platter. The tasting environment is relaxed, with a daily selection chosen by the cheesemaker for guests to try and take home. Also available to buy are delicacies from Mornington Peninsula as well as knives, boards and other accessories for your cheese. Farmers and community markets are also frequently on, where cheesemakers are happy to talk about their cheeses and give advice.
