One of the favourite things to do in this town is eat, and a number of restaurants here offer spectacular local food. One of the best places is El Buen Suspiro, a cosy spot that specialises in local wines and cheeses. In winters, cosy up beside the fire or in the summer season, grab a table on the back patio, we suggest reserving ahead for either. Check out the bullring, although now abandoned, which at one point held some very famous bullfights or choose to walk the 111 stairs up the lighthouse built in 1857. Perhaps the most fascinating thing about this town is that it was abandoned for over 200 years until the 1960s, when the entire town underwent restoration.
