Photos: Delhi-NCR looked snowed up, hailstones cover it in a blanket of white

Delhi-NCR was covered under a blanket of white, looking like it snowed up, as the region was thrashed by a heavy hailstorm. A thick blanket of hailstones covered a number of regions, pelting Noida, Ghaziabad, Dwarka and a few other places. It looked nothing less than the snow-covered states of Himachal!

Traffic came to a halt on Thursday evening when the unusual occurrence hit the region, even as the minimum temperature stayed at 15 degrees. Noida received more hailstones than any other place, with Sector 93 and 137 turning all white. Residents and onlookers were pretty amused by the phenomenon, many capturing it on their phone cameras.
