Established in 1958, this is one of India’s best zoos, and was set up for the study, conservation and preservation of the Himalayan fauna. Head here to catch a glimpse of their unique collection of rare animals including the elusive snow leopard, Siberian tiger, Himalayan black bear, red panda or Tibetan wolf. Housed in natural surroundings, the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park is built on the mountainside with a steep enclosure resembling the natural habitat of its animals.
