Norway's official church
Talk of the town: The cathedral's crypt, now used for concerts and lectures, contains the tombs of Oslo's wealthiest and most influential families.
Oslo's imposing dark-brick cathedral is at the centre of national life, regularly hosting large public events and state occasions. Built in the Dutch baroque style, it was consecrated in 1697 and contains a beautiful pulpit, baptismal font and altarpiece from that period.
