The New York City subway system is both a convenient mode of public transportation and an underground art gallery packed with colourful mosaics, sculptures and optical illusions. This three-hour tour, led by Bronx native and seasoned subway rider Darryl Reilly, aims to show visitors the fruits of the MTA's Arts for Transit programs across 12 stations in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Reilly's train-bound adventure takes riders to Chinatown for a brief stop before travelling across the Manhattan Bridge and into Brooklyn. The journey concludes in Times Square, site of an arresting mural by Roy Lichtenstein.
