New visa policy of Saudi Arabia to grant visas to non-Muslims, conditions applied

Saudi Arabia visa for non-Muslims is a new development, thanks to Prince Mohammad Bin Salman of Arabia! The desert country is now providing tourist visas for non-Muslims who can easily visit the Arab sovereign state to attract more and more tourists.

The country is home to one of the most prominent religious sites for Muslims including Mecca and Medina, and every year lakhs of Muslims come here to perform Haj (pilgrim). Besides, there are various other places of historic significance such as Jeddah, Riyadh and Mada’in Saleh, among others.
Keeping all these things in mind, the government of the kingdom is thinking of providing tourist visas to non-Muslim tourists to boost tourists and this is the first time that something like this will be happening purely for tourism purpose.
Condition

There is one condition, i.e., non-Muslim travellers won’t be permitted inside any of the religious Muslim sites of Mecca and Medina. That’s the only condition till now.


Requirements for tourist visa

1) People interested will have to make bookings via registered tour operator and visas will be granted only if minimum number of guests for the tourist visa is 4.

2) The visa must be attested by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage.
3) If a woman below 25 years of age is travelling, she will need a ‘companion’ to visit Saudi Arabia. That’s one qualification for women travellers to apply Saudi Arabia tourist visa.

4) Also women travellers will be needed to cover their head while roaming inside the country. it is one of the country’s conservative laws, which is a mandate.
