Netravali is the biggest wildlife sanctuary of Goa, covering over 200 sq km. Though situated in Sanguem Taluka, it is easily accessible from Canacona through a scenic drive of just over an hour from Palolem. Turn northeast from the Margaon-Karwar highway crossing forest check post of Bhatpal, village of Gaodongrem, forest check posts of Amba Ghati and Mangal. Proceed towards Netorlim and Shri Sateri Mahamaya Temple and finally cross forest check post of Verlem to enter the wildlife sanctuary. As of 2016, Netravali does not offer forest rest houses or cottages but if you wish, you could check for private options, including Angan Village Stay operated by Verlem EcoTourism Co-Operative Society Ltd.
