The airport sees 400 flights every day, including 100 international flights, mostly comprising of tourists, including avid trekkers and adventure seekers. The authorities are also planning to develop a dedicated parking facility at the airport to make travelling to Nepal a smooth affair. As per the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the renovation work would be over within three months, and you might want to plan your trip to Nepal accordingly.
