National Ceramics Museum

The National Ceramics Museum is an imposing structure, from the outside, that houses some of the exquisite exhibits. Built in Rococo style in the 15th century, the palace was refurbished in the mid 18th century and boasts a stunning alabaster entrance. On display are medieval ceramics, 18th century carriages and 19th century rooms, among others. Besides, a beautiful collection of tiles made in the Royal Ceramics Factory in Alcora never fails to impress visitors. In addition to ceramics, the museum also houses prehistoric, Roman, Greek and Arab items. It has even made efforts to expand its collection with a selection of traditional ceramics from other towns such as Manises and Paterna. Besides these, there are also many contemporary works on display, including some by the legendary Picasso.
