Nandankanan Park

Bhubaneshwar is so much more then temples and gods. Nandankanan Zoological Park is one such place here that takes your mind elsewhere and treats your eyes with greenery and wildlife. Established in the year 1960, Nandankanan is an abode of the white Indian tigers. Not only tigers, but this huge 4.37 sq km park is also home to more than 15 varieties of reptiles, 60 types of mammals and 81 species of birds. Animals such as Asiatic lion, crocodiles, langur, Himalayan black bear, mouse deer and black buck, among others can be easily seen here in their natural habitat. It is also the first breeding place for black panthers that is an addition to the attraction of this park.

The park is divided into zoological and botanical gardens and has been attracting nature enthusiasts from all over. A perfect place for families with kids, Nandankanan Park feature toy trains, battery operated vehicles and a pond where boating can be enjoyed. Visitors can also opt for various safaris here.
