Cultural heritage is something that defines the taste and psyche of a city or a nation. This is true of Corsica as well and what better way to explore it than a museum trail. La Maison Bonaparte is perhaps the most well known museum of the island. Once the house of Napoleon Bonaparte, this mansion is now a museum located on the Rue Saint-Charles in Ajaccio. Then there is Musée Fesch, the central museum of fine arts located in Ajaccio. This place is custodian to an impressive collection of paintings from the periods of Renaissance, the Roman Baroque and the Neapolitan Baroque. A heritage trail in these places will take you a step closer to the past of Cosica.
