With a meticulously-curated collection of Asian art both contemporary and traditional, the Musée des Art Asiatiques offers an insightful look into the artistic works of the orient. This elegant and futuristic building designed by Japanese architect Kenzo Tange seemingly floats on water and the collection it houses has the same level of serenity.

Exhibits in the museum are deliberately sparse, allowing time for reflection as you are guided through the themed collections. From the Roots of Buddhism through to China, Japan, India and Southeast Asia, each artifact has been carefully selected with enviable restraint to best showcase the nation it represents. Temporary exhibitions regularly take place and visitors can enrol in advance for workshops featuring crafts such as origami and Japanese flower arranging.
