The tranquil home of Asian art
Word to the wise: Due to its close proximity to the airport, visit en route if you're not burdened by excess baggage.
Exhibits in the museum are deliberately sparse, allowing time for reflection as you are guided through the themed collections. From the Roots of Buddhism through to China, Japan, India and Southeast Asia, each artifact has been carefully selected with enviable restraint to best showcase the nation it represents. Temporary exhibitions regularly take place and visitors can enrol in advance for workshops featuring crafts such as origami and Japanese flower arranging.
