As Terminal 1 is used for handling domestic flights, the airport’s Terminal 2 is used for handling some selective domestic flights and is used extensively for international flights. It must be noted that Mumbai Airport’s Terminal 2 is popularly called Sahar Airport as it is located in Sahar suburbs, i.e., within Andheri and is primarily used as an independent airport. If reports are to go by, it can be expected that Terminal 2 will become the only operational terminal in Mumbai Airport after Terminal 1 is integrated into Terminal 2.
Terminal 2—GoAir flights: Last month, this budget airline announced to launch 28 additional flights, out of which, eight flight services will be operated from Mumbai Terminal 2.
Terminal 2—AirAsia flights: This airline recently added 10 new flights into its network expansion plan from Terminal 2. In fact, AirAsia now connects Mumbai to Indore, Kolkata, New Delhi, Indore, Kochi, Bengaluru from Mumbai Terminal 2.
Terminal 2—Indigo flights: Indigo has also added some extra power in its fleet and the additional flights carry their operation from Terminal 2, which connects Mumbai to Patna, Indore, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Nagpur, Bengaluru, and Vadodara.
Pre-booking meals at the airport: Now, the travellers will also get to use this option of pre-booking meals in the airport to facilitate the travel. Once you pre-book your meal, your order will be delivered to different locations within the airport at once.
