MIM - Musical Instrument Museum
A vast collection of instruments from around the world
Word to the wise: Occupying a gorgeous Art Noveau former department store and an equally grand neoclassical building, MIM is worth a visit for the impressive architecture alone.

If you've ever wanted to know what a hajhouj sounds like (or even what one is), or where a modeku is from, the impressive Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) is for you. Boasting an internationally renowned collection of over 7,000 instruments, of which around 1,200 are displayed, the museum takes you on a musical journey through time and across the globe.
Infrared headphones allow you to listen to music from the instrument that you're looking at and reading about, turning what could be a dull catalogue of instruments into an interactive experience. The museum also runs a programme of concerts in its specially built concert hall, where you can hear some of the instruments played live.
