Take your kids out for a great time―a quick picnic to the Mysore Zoo, one of the oldest zoos in India, perfectly fits the bill. Spread over more than 160 acres of land, it is home to Bengal tigers, Asiatic elephants, Indian wolves, giraffes, zebras, Asiatic lions, rhinoceros and more; it also houses a variety of birds. This zoo was founded by G.H. Krumbeigal, a German expert in horticulture. Karanji Lake that lies in the eastern stretch of the zoo is another lure. Visit this place around afternoon for it might give you a chance to see the animals being fed.
