El Yaque on Margarita Island averages 18 knots–22 knots all the year round. The stronger side is December through May, so you can be sure you'll get some awesome riding in. The wind blows side shore on crystal clear shallow flat water. Another flat-water lovers' paradise is El Coche, just 30 minutes across the channel. You can find 18-25 knots December to June. The wind blows strongest from about 2 pm everyday. Margarita Island is renowned for its laid-back attitude and culture. You can relax after a day of kiting in Coche, or party on El Yaque, whatever your preference is! Then hop a jet to Los Roques for a true gem. You won't see many kiters here, but that's what makes it so amazing. You can find 15-25 knots and clear, crystal waters as you kite island hop.
