One of the most beautiful and popular beaches in Goa, Vagator is a real treat for travellers. Located in Bardez Taluk, about 21 kms northwest of Panaji, this stunning beach is a must-visit for any traveller exploring Goa. A clean a quiet place to relax and sit back while enjoying the sun and the sand, Vagator beach is a paradise for sea lovers. One can go swimming in the sea but a word of caution – do it if you have real good swimming skills. If you are travelling with kids and elders, you can even go for a picnic in the beach. Let nature and its miracles take their due course and you will see the real beauty of Vagator Beach. Splendid-looking cliffs rising from the ocean water makes for the perfect sunset on the rocks of course.
Although, most of the beach lovers like to take a dip in the waters, the Vagator Beach is one of those beaches where one must be careful of doing that as the beach does not have lifeguards. But if you are not too confident of swimming out here without the lifeguard being around, the better thing to do would be to enjoy a picnic on the beach until you witness one of the most beautiful sunsets of your life. While the entire destination of Goa is famous for its beach parties and a happening nightlife, the Vagator Beach, also known as the Disco Valley, happens to be one of the best places in Goa to host trance parties since the 1980s. There are a few famous open air clubs that attract lots of people to the beach that are located in Disco Valley. If you are a shopaholic looking to buy souvenirs and small fancy stuff, the flea market near Vagator Beach is a great place to be. The flea market is there on every Wednesday and sells some really cool stuff including clothes, antiques, jewelry or mementos. Ensuring that you enjoy the most of the Vagator Beach as a traveller are the Vagator Beach hotels and resorts and shacks that offer comfortable accommodation to travellers at different budgets.
