Unlike the flea markets at Anjuna and Arpora, this weekly market is largely a local affair with Goans from surrounding villages selling farm products such as spices, fresh fruits, vegetables and seafood. Wander around the open air-market and you'll also find pickles, breads, rock salt and yummy pork sausages (known as chorizos), as well as cheap clothes, pottery and bamboo products. One of the last authentic markets in Goa, it is a good place to soak in the local vibe.
