IRCTC has decided to replace the Delhi-Allahabad Duronto Express with Humsafar Express. As per the latest news reports, the Humsafar Express will be running on the tracks four days a week instead of the tri-weekly schedule of Duronto Express. Sources from the ministry stated that this latest move by the Indian Railways will be put into effect from September 13. Read less
Train number 12275, i.e., Allahabad-New Delhi Humsafar Express will run on the tracks every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. And the return train will run every Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday.
The Duronto Express on Delhi-Allahabad route was, in fact, among the first set of 12 non-stop trains that were introduced during the 2009-2010 railway budget.
