With its bright red sloping roof framed against the snowy peaks in the background, this small Shiva temple presents a striking picture in a corner of the main meadow in Gulmarg. Its claim to fame is derived from Bollywood: the site where the popular ‘Jai Jai Shiv Shankar,’ song in yesteryear’s hit ‘Aap Ki Kasam,’ was shot, it’s a popular spot with visitors for a photo-op. It’s also a big destination during the festival of Shivratri.
