Travellers to Goa will have to wait a bit longer as the Mumbai-Goa ferry, which was supposed to start in December last year, is yet to start operating. Reports suggest that the ferry service will likely start its operations from February end this year. Till now, the progress has been and, hence, February end seems like a possibility.
Mumbai to Goa distance to get shorter, thanks to Mumbai Trans Harbour Link
The delay has been caused mainly because Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) and the Directorate General of Shipping did not provide the needed clearances.

The cruise liner can reportedly hold up to 400 passengers and it will operate all throughout the year, except for the four months of monsoon. You will be ferried to Goa from Mumbai in 16 hours, overnight journey. Passengers can board the cruise liner from Mazgaon domestic cruise terminal, and the ferry will stop at Dighi in Raigad, Dabhol and Jaigad, Vijay Durg and Malvan. It will dock in Panjim, Goa. The Mumbai-Goa ferry ticket price has also been revealed; it will cost you 5,000 INR, excluding food and services.
Reports suggest that trial runs are already underway, and with its launch it will once again make this once busy sea route alive. Travel experiences are definitely looking brighter when it comes to holidaying in Goa with the launch of this cruise.
