Word to the wise: Fotogalleriet's spring exhibition, held in March and April, brings together work by Norway's best emerging photographers.

Fotogalleriet has been exhibiting the best in lens-based art for over 30 years and has been fundamental to the development of Norway's contemporary art scene. Its exhibition program showcases the work of emerging and established photographers from Norway and the rest of the world. The gallery has a long-standing reputation for introducing younger photographers to a global audience.
The photography on display is diverse and could include documentary, portrait or conceptual work, often accompanied by film or video. The gallery also hosts seminars with academics, critics and artists and produces its own publications exploring various aspects of contemporary photographic art.
