There are so many wonderful things about this art gallery and museum; it houses some of the greatest European art, is one of the most visited museums in the UK outside of London and offers free admission to everyone. Located at the end of Sauchiehall Street, which is full of restaurants, bars and shopping and is almost pedestrianized completely, it is easy to reach and make sure to dedicate at least half a day to the museum. So, what exactly can you find here? It has British and Continental paintings, including some from the famous Van Gogh. Weapons and armour from the 15th and 16th century including helmets and swords, many Glasgow-made items including silverware, pottery and jewellery. This is open daily from 10 AM to 5PM and is a must see when you are in the city of Glasgow.
