Flying fox at Mehrangarh Fort
One can go for a session or two of flying fox at Jodhpur's famous Mehrangarh Fort, with the balmy winter weather making it all the more perfect. There are six zipline tours to choose from, starting at 115 mts to 300 mts, and a total of 1080 mts of flight time. The whole session goes on for 1.5 hours, and a session starts from at INR 1600 a session.
Sunset safari at Osian
Osian lies in the Thar Desert and was once the capital of the Marwar kingdom. It is also home to some stunning Hindu and Jain temples; while a lot of these temples are in ruins, Osian is definitely worth visiting for the desert experience as well if you do not want to head out to Jaisalmer for the same.
Shopping in Jodhpur
Shopping in Jodhpur is an experience in itself. Most of the famous markets here, especially around the Clock Tower, sell great stuff and everything from silver jewelry, semi-precious stones, a variety of tea and spices, Rajasthan's famous bandhej sarees, quirky vintage paintings, wall clocks and so much more. It's also just the place for those who love a good bargain.
An evening at Indique
If you are in the mood for a good drink after all the shopping in the Clock Tower, head to Indique. This restaurant and bar overlooks the famous Clock Tower Market and gives sweeping views of the Mehrangarh Fort, which comes alive with a lighting arrangement as the sun goes down. Great drinks and a fine blend of Rajasthan's cuisine and North Indian food awaits you at this vintage property.
Makhaniya lassi at Shri Mishirilal
Makhaniya lassi at Shri Mishrilal restaurant is something that Jodhpur's Clock Tower market is famous for, and rightly so. The fame is well-deserved for this one, as the lassi here is the creamiest, butter(iest) lassi you would have ever had. A must if you are tired after all the shopping in the local market around.
Bishnoi village safari
Early in the morning or late evenings, you can head to the Bishnoi village in Jodhpur's hood for an interesting experience. The village is famous for its artisans and a rich culture as well as jungle safaris, where you can often spot chinkaras. The Bishnoi community is famed for its eco-conservation efforts, wildlife protection, and ideas related to sustainable living.
Dal baati choorma at Ma Bhawani
While Jodhpur is home to a number of famous and world-class restaurants and eating joints, the rather non-descript Ma Bhawani eatery, more of a dhaba, is where you should be. A local's favourite, this is where you would get the best dal baati choorma, as it should be had, without anything fancy to it; still, it would be one of the best meals you would have in Jodhpur, all under INR 200 for a complete meal!
