Popularly referred to by locals as Egret Island, this was thought to be the last resting place of the dodo. This small coral outcrop lies surrounded by sea, and is inhabited by giant Aldabra tortoises that lumber around its expanse. There are even pink pigeons flying around, giving it a fairytale-like feel. All in all, it’s an enchanting experience, and a great way to spend the day immersed in nature. If you're a family travelling with kids, this should definitely be on your itinerary.
