Kerala Tourism has introduced an online platform to allow non-residents Keralites stuck in the state due to COVID-19 lockdown, return to their home states by booking vehicles of tour operators.

According to the latest reports, Keralites stuck in different parts of India can make enquiries to transport or tour operators via Kerala Tourism’s official website www.keralatourism.org.
As per the notice released by the tourism department, the tour operator will receive the NRKs requirements and contact details by email. On the other hand, the NRK will get the enquiry number and necessary information about the chosen travel company. Mutual communication between the two parties will be useful in fixing the journey and payment.
Rani George, Secretary of Kerala Tourism also said that by by following the above process, the NRKs can get their vehicles for travelling to the state.
The platform has made 151 about registrations so far and registration of tour/ transport operators is in progress. Meanwhile, about 493 vehicles are ready for the service with an overall seating capacity of 5897.
