A recent survey by a travel search engine has revealed that around 45 percent of travellers from India are looking to spend at least INR 1 lakh on summer travel this year. Not only that, around 16 percent of these Indian travellers are willing to spend more than INR 3 lakhs for travelling this summer, revealed the survey.

"Many Indians today consider travelling as one of the most important parts of life. For them, a good annual holiday is a must every year, and holiday planning is a task demanding care and attention," said Abhijit Mishra, India and Middle East director of the travel search engine brand.
Interestingly, the survey has revealed that around 38 percent Indians are willing to spend their money on travel above all other pursuits, including shopping, food, and other daily activities. The age group which is more willing to spend on travel is 36-55 years.
What’s even more interesting in the survey findings is that in order to save money for travelling, 34 percent Indians refrain from shopping, while 22 percent take up an extra job.
