Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is offering an 8-day luxury trip on Maharaja Express that will begin from October 2018 and will go on till April 2019. The trip is called ‘The Indian Splendour’, wherein the tour’s beginning rate is $5,980. Both Indians and foreigners can get this package and enjoy a glorious trip to nine beautiful Indian cities, namely Agra, Ranthambore, Delhi, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Jaipur, Mumbai and Balasinor.
Itinerary
Day 1 - Guests will be welcomed at the Safdarjung Railway Station in Delhi, which will be followed by a fine-dining at onboard restaurants, namely Rang Mahal and Mayur Mahal.
Day 3 - Guests will be taken to Sawai Madhopur, wherein they will go on an adventurous game drive at Ranthambore National Park. On the same day, the train will leave for the Pink City, Jaipur, where guests can visit Jai Mahal or City Palace.
Day 4 – Arrival at Bikaner and a visit to Junagarh Fort.
Day 5 – The next stop is at Jodhpur, where guests can avail spa facilities at a 5-star hotel. Then, they’ll be taken to visit the stunning Umaid Bhawan Palace and Jaswant Thada.
Day 6 – Guests will reach Udaipur the sixth day, and then go on a boat ride to Lake Pichola. It will be followed by a visit to the splendid City Palace and Crystal Gallery.
Day 7 – The next stop is the Sevaliya Railway Station. Guests can proceed to Dinosaur Fossil Park and Garden Palace, Balasinor.
Day 8 – The trip will end at Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, the last destination of this luxury sojourn.
