As per a Straits Times report, major industry players have marked a significant increase in fly-cruise tourists from India. A spokesperson for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings mentioned that their firm believes the Indian market has all the possibilities to develop at double-digit rates.
Another spokesperson from a premium cruise company mentioned that the Indian travellers are taking their cruises in huge numbers. This number has increased by 10 to 20 percent, yearly. Indian tourists generally pack for one trip but wish to travel to many countries at one time, added the spokesperson.
Keeping up with the trend, other players in the industry are also opting for Indian tourists. Also Indians are third-largest group of visitors to Singapore.
As per several Indian travellers, Singapore is quite safe for tourists and people there are also extremely good.
Singapore Tourism Board (STB) report mentions that around seven in 10 travellers from India and China visit the place for holiday purpose and love the sights and sounds of Singapore. SBT also mentioned that last year in 2017, international tourist arrival in Singapore grew by 6.2 percent to 17.4 million, with Indian tourist numbers going up by 15 percent to 6,60,000 between the months of January and June 2017.
